Dr. Stephanie Silvera of Montclair State University has a checklist
The new public health rules aren’t entirely clear. For example, there are exceptions to the mask mandate, even for those who are fully vaccinated — on public transportation, in health care facilities and even in some private businesses.
As state leaders maintain the right to reverse the rules, we asked Montclair State University epidemiologist Dr. Stephanie Silvera to explain what’s safe to do this holiday weekend.

An Emmy award-winning journalist, Briana Vannozzi serves as the anchor for NJ Spotlight News, the newsroom of NJ PBS.
