With two weeks to go before Election Day, a number of high-profile Democrats are making the rounds in New Jersey to stump for Gov. Phil Murphy. Former President Barack Obama is set to attend a rally in Newark this weekend. First lady Jill Biden campaigned with the governor last Friday. Vice President Kamala Harris appeared with him earlier this month.
At an event in Newark on Tuesday promoting maximum access to COVID-19 vaccination, Doug Emhoff, husband of Vice President Kamala Harris, said, “And leave it to New Jersey, the place where I grew up, to bring this home.” New Jersey’s first lady Tammy Murphy was also at the event.
