Families with loved ones in long-term care facilities cheered to hear that New Jersey had adopted new rules that permit visits at all times with few exceptions — but implementing those regulations will take time. Many questions remain: Who can visit? When? How often, and for how long?
Representatives for the long-term care industry say they need to schedule visits to handle pent-up demand and to staff facilities appropriately. A webinar to address families’ questions about the revised regulations has been arranged for this Thursday by the state Department of Health.
