Public health officials are frustrated by social media posts that spread misinformation about COVID-19 shots — for example, that the vaccines can magnetize you or alter your genes, as health officials continue to try to convince people who are vaccine-hesitant to consider getting immunized.
Those who have studied some of the top anti-vaccine influencers allege they’re driven by cynical profit motives as much as by deep beliefs and that they should be banned from social media platforms; some of them have been kicked off certain sites. But the influencers claim they’re being censored.
