There was a rare moment in New Jersey politics Monday, as three political rivals were in the same place and on the same page. Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy, former Republican Gov. Chris Christie and George Norcross, one of the most powerful nonelected officials in the state, announced a massive expansion of Cooper University Health Care’s Camden campus.

The $2 billion project will add three more clinical buildings — and more competition for other hospitals in South Jersey. The project is expected to take a decade to complete and serve thousands of more residents.
