After this week securing the Republican nomination to run for governor, Jack Ciattarelli endorsed former U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin as the next leader of the state Republican Party.
Hugin also secured the endorsement of Michael Lavery, the current head of the Republican State Committee. Hugin, a former pharmaceutical executive, lost his bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez in 2018. The party is scheduled to formally vote him in on June 15.
