Most people age 65 and older can now get an updated COVID-19 vaccine booster. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday signed off on a second dose of the new bivalent shot to be given at least four months after the initial dose. It’s recommended for older adults and those with weakened immune systems. The Food and Drug Administration already authorized use of the booster, meaning it can be administered immediately.
