Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise is about to retire. Craig Guy, who has been in DeGise’s inner circle for decades, is about to be announced as the candidate for the Democratic nomination to succeed DeGise.
Phil Swibinski, spokesperson for the county Democrats, said he believes the process for choosing a Democratic candidate is fair. “I believe it is. I think that there’s a primary, there’s an opportunity for anyone to run and put their ideas out there and it’s up to the voters to decide,” Swibinski said.
Will progressives put up a challenger to Guy?
