Tenants at a housing complex in Camden say they are fed up with living conditions that have been neglected for too long. The issues are at the 86-unit All American Gardens Apartments. City officials who toured the site on Wednesday say they are in the process of issuing fines.
The property is owned by Nationwide Housing Management. The company’s founder Joe Caruso denied any wrongdoing and blamed the city and tenants for the ongoing issues.
“I don’t care how he tries to spin this. He’s not doing what he’s supposed to do. And we’re going to make sure he steps up to fix the myriad of problems that he has,” said Camden Mayor Victor Carstarphen.
