Camden County leaders dedicated this year’s National Public Health Week to educating the public about responsible gun ownership and normalizing the conversation around how safe storage saves lives. The board of commissioners hosted the gun storage presentation along with BeSmart, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of gun safety.
“We all want kids to grow up, happy and healthy,” said Dave Austin, a BeSmart official. “If we can prevent even one child’s death or injury, it’s our responsibility to do so.”
