More than 324,000 New Jerseyans got coverage through the marketplace for 2022 — a 20% increase over 2021.
One of New Jersey’s big health care companies is getting even bigger. New Brunswick-based Johnson & Johnson announced a major acquisition on Tuesday. Johnson & Johnson is buying Abiomed, a med tech company that focuses on cardiovascular products, in a deal valued at more than $16 billion. The move comes as Johnson & Johnson is preparing to split into two companies — one focused on consumer health, the other on medical technology and pharmaceuticals.
