Small businesses in Hoboken are getting some help. Sen. Bob Menendez announced Wednesday that $2 million in federal aid is available for businesses to apply for grants of up to $20,000.
Lawmakers are looking for answers from the New Jersey Department of Labor regarding the resolution of unemployment claims issues for some of their constituents. Lawmakers from District 37 wrote Labor Commissioner Robert Asaro-Angelo last week saying there is something drastically wrong with the system. They are asking that the department open up a satellite office in Bergen County so that unemployed residents can go in and talk to someone in person because they have been unable to resolve their issues using the call centers.
