Former Vice President Joe Biden appears on the verge of clinching the presidential race, according to the Associated Press. According to the latest figures from the state, Biden won all but five of New Jersey’s counties, one of just a handful of presidents in history to capture 60% of the state’s vote.
Despite President Trump’s unpopularity in this increasingly blue area, it didn’t appear to hurt Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who, on Friday, was declared the winner in the 2nd Congressional District with 51.7% of the vote. This means all the incumbents in New Jersey’s congressional races have won another term, sending a delegation of 10 Democrats and two Republicans back to the House.
