The 2024 New Jersey Ballot Bowl is underway on the state’s college campuses and aiming to get out the student vote.
A combination of pep rally and friendly competition, the ballot bowl has been going on for the past seven years focusing on helping students become familiar with the voting process. Students taking part are able to hear from NFL players, local leaders and Lt. Governor Tahesha Way, whose office is spearheading the event.
The statewide competition now runs through Election Day, and students at William Paterson University are hoping they now have the most registered voters. NJ Spotlight News spoke with several students about their commitment to voting.
