On Chat Box with David Cruz this week, the focus is on the primary election results. Cruz talks with Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who came second to Rep. Mikie Sherrill in the Democratic gubernatorial race, on what Democrats need to do to win in November and whether another run for office is in his future.

Then, state Sen. Jon Bramnick (R-Union), a candidate in the GOP gubernatorial race, discusses the future of New Jersey’s Republican Party as it embraces President Donald Trump and what role he plans to play as he returns to the state Senate.

Watch Chat Box on the NJ Spotlight News YouTube channel Thursdays at 6 p.m., and on NJ PBS Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
