The weekend’s rain helped a little, but New Jersey continues to battle wildfires through the holiday.

The most dangerous is the Jennings Creek Wildfire in West Milford in Passaic County on the New York line, where about 3,500 acres have been burned as of Monday and about 20% of the fire was contained, officials said. Two residential structures were threatened in West Milford and another eight structures were threatened in the Long Pond Ironworks Historic District. None as yet had been evacuated.
