New Jersey is setting records, and not in a good way.
The state saw a record-low amount of rainfall in October at just 0.02 inch, the lowest recorded of any month in the state. The next lowest was 10 times as much rain in September, 1941, at 0.29 inch. The most for any October was almost a foot of rain in 2005.
The lack of rainfall and dry conditions have led to wildfires and now the likelihood of new water restrictions. Keep up with NJ Spotlight News’ ongoing coverage.
