On Chat Box, David Cruz and the team are taking a break from politics for this week’s show and turning to music.

Cruz chats with actor Hank Azaria, who voices many of the characters on “The Simpsons” and has had memorable roles in film (“The Birdcage”), TV (“Brockmire”) and on stage (“Spamalot”). They discuss “Hank Azaria and the EZ Street Band,” a live tribute band to Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen, his love for Springsteen’s music and performing at the iconic Stone Pony.

Later, jazz musician Christian McBride joins Cruz to discuss the annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and around Newark. McBride, who serves as NJPAC’s jazz adviser, says this year’s festival will feature George Clinton, Dianne Reeves, John Pizzarelli, Lisa Fischer and more.
