All eyes are on economic indicators in the lead-up to the presidential election, and New Jersey is showing some improvements.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics this week released new unemployment data for New Jersey that showed the rate had decreased by 0.1 percentage point to 4.7% for September. Total non-farm employment increased by 19,200 jobs, it said, to reach nearly 4.4 million jobs in the state.
