New Jersey has already passed the 1 million mark in early voting, with 1,018,624 votes cast either by mail or in-person as of the end of Monday. That’s about one in seven registered voters in the state.

More than 500,000 of them were registered Democrats, almost a quarter of all the party’s registered voters in New Jersey. So far, there have been 275,000 Republicans’ ballots cast early, about 17% of New Jersey’s registered Republicans.
