The national Democratic Party is going through some upheaval right now, but it looks like the New Jersey party’s organizations are doing fine in terms of cash on hand in the lead-up to the state’s 2025 gubernatorial election.
The New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission on Wednesday released the latest totals for the state’s “big six” political committees, three each for the two major parties, and reported that the Democrats had in hand almost $1.8 million so far this election off-year, a 189% increase over this time in the last presidential election year in 2020. The state GOP paled in comparison at under $445,000 on hand, although that is a 55% increase over 2020.
