From Atlantic County to Sussex County, many are little-known names outside their cities and towns: New Jersey’s Democratic Party delegates.

But over the next couple of weeks, they may move out from the shadows, as these men and women along with their peer delegates nationwide will have the party’s presidential nomination in their hands. In New Jersey, there are 146 (and 11 alternates), with nationally a total of nearly 4,700.
