On Chat Box, David Cruz talks with Curtis Bashaw, a Republican running for U.S. Senate, about why he’s running, his position on key issues and the differences between him and fellow Republican candidate Christine Serrano-Glassner.

Also on Chat Box, Eddie Glaude, a professor at Princeton University, discusses his new book, “We Are the Leaders We Have Been Looking For.” He weighs in on the state of our democracy as protests and encampments spread across college campuses and the ever-growing political divide as the country heads into another presidential election.

Watch Chat Box on the NJ Spotlight News YouTube channel Thursdays at 6 p.m., and on NJ PBS Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
