Under a new law signed by President Joe Biden last week after months of negotiation, the Federal Aviation Administration is directed to hire as many air traffic controllers as possible to close the gap of roughly 3,000 at airports across the United States. The FAA recently announced it was taking steps to address risks posed by exhaustion among air traffic controllers.
