Those who are in search of a flexible summer job need look no further. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection is looking to fill seasonal part-time jobs, including for lifeguards, naturalists, history educators, general maintenance workers, visitor service assistants and office staff. In total, more than 800 peak-season jobs are available for the period from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
“The diversity of positions offered gives applicants the opportunity to connect with nature, foster a sense of stewardship and make a positive impact on some of New Jersey’s natural treasures while also gaining invaluable knowledge and experiences that may build a foundation for a career in environmental protection and conservation,” said DEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette.
Salaries for most positions start at $16 per hour. The minimum age to apply is is 16 years old.
