33%

NJ employees working from home

The COVID-19 pandemic transformed the lives of workers in New Jersey — and in the rest of the country. One of the best ways to see that transformation in action is in the rise of remote work, also known a bit pompously as WFH (working from home). According to Select SoftwareReviews, 33% of New Jersey’s workers are dialing it in, which puts it in the seventh spot for WFH. It’s a very tight pack, though: Colorado is at the top of the heap with 37%. Percentages represent workers who did their jobs in slippers and sweats at least one day in the past seven.

The study analyzed the U.S. Census Bureau’s Household Pulse Survey, which reveals households where someone has worked from home in the previous seven days, and across a variety of demographic splits in each state, including age, gender, income and educational background.
